Sexual violence against vulnerable populations is common worldwide and many survivors of sexual assault experience long-term mental health difficulties. A recent study led by Dror Ben-Zeev, PhD evaluated sexual violence exposure among women with mental illness in Ghana and examined their readiness to engage in mobile health (mHealth) interventions.

Department Chair Jürgen Unützer, MD, MPH, MA contributed to a large multi-national metaanalysis of collaborative care for depression that was recently published in JAMA Psychiatry. The Psychiatry Residency Training Program directed by Jacqueline Hobbs, MD, PhD, had another successful Match this year. More than 60 faculty members and residents reviewed over 1,400 applications and conducted more than 150 interviews. We couldn’t have done this without you and we are extremely grateful to everyone for your contributions to recruiting this outstanding residency class of 2029. After a competitive internal search, four new associate program directors (APDs) will be joining the team in July 2025.
This restructuring transforms our residency program from a site-based model to a centralized model where APDs will be responsible for a specific cohort of residents (e.g., PGY-1s). This way residents will know who their designated APD is regardless of rotation site.
