After a comprehensive national search last year, Jacqueline Hobbs, MD, PhD, DFAPA, CMQ, was selected as our new Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Training Program. We are excited to announce she is now here! The residency program leadership will officially transition from Anna Ratzliff, MD, PhD, to Dr. Hobbs on June 15.
Dr. Hobbs comes to us with over 13 years of experience leading the Psychiatry Residency Training Program at the University of Florida College of Medicine. At UFL, she also served as the Vice Chair for Education she held several other leadership roles. Although her major focus is graduate medical education, she is also passionate about patient safety, quality improvement, and healthcare risk management. Additionally, she has a background in basic research with expertise in virology, microbiology, and immunology. Dr. Hobbs will join our outstanding team of individuals dedicated to training the next generation of psychiatrists that includes our Associate Program Directors Drs. Dubovsky, Iles-Shih, Murray, Pellegrino, Schreiber and Soeprono and our excellent educational staff led by Associate Director of Education Athena Wong and Assistant Director of Education Michele Roe.
