Psychology Internship Program receives 10-year accreditation

Department news | September 28, 2023

We received the outstanding news in August that our Clinical Psychology Internship Training Program received accreditation renewal for the next 10 years. This is a huge accomplishment — our program is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest if not in the entire West Coast, and it has been continuously accredited since 1965. In the past 10 years, we have trained over 150 trainees who have gone on to be leaders in psychology. Congratulations and thank you to Program Director Ty Lostutter, PhD; Associate Director Charles “Chuck” Bombardier, PhD; and the numerous faculty who serve as track coordinators, clinical supervisors, committee chairs, research and clinical mentors, didactics speakers, grant seminar presenter, and journal club coordinators. Thank you also to Program Coordinator Cynthia Long and the Educational Suite team including Athena Wong, Liz Tyson, Marie Pardo, and Michele Roe. It takes a large group of people to run such a successful program and we appreciate everyone’s good work!
