We are excited to announce the arrival of Debriefing with the RECover Framework, a one-hour online learning module designed to teach providers how to debrief trainees and peers after adverse events. This module was created by Hai-Uyen Nguyen, MD (Residency class of 2025) in collaboration with Laurel Pellegrino, MD, Thomas Soeprono, MD, and Sara Ochoa, MEd. Originally developed as an in-person workshop, this training has been presented at numerous national conferences with demonstrated efficacy in improving providers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practice of leading debriefs using the RECover framework.
Now translated for virtual participation and included in the UW Medicine Learning Hub, this workshop can be used by all departments in the School of Medicine to help foster a culture of mutual support within our medical community. Attending physicians and residents alike are encouraged to use this module to learn and refresh their knowledge of the RECover framework. Congratulations to Dr. Nguyen for creating the remarkable learning opportunity and thank you to everyone who helped make sure it lives on now that she has graduated!
