Milestones for the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Track

The Autism and Developmental Disabilities Track of the UW School of Medicine’s Psychology Internship Program was established in 2020. After expanding from one to two residents annually in 2022, we have welcomed and trained eight psychology residents since our launch and we are delighted to welcome the first resident from our track, Daina Tagavi, PhD, to become faculty in our department!

The UW Housestaff Quality and Safety Committee (HSQC) has selected our very own PGY2s, Rob Chen, MD, PhD, and John Eun, MD, PhD, as members of their inaugural Ambassador's Program. They'll join other ambassadors in monthly meetings to help advance quality improvement (QI) work in the department, represent our education program, and interact with hospital leaders.

Congratulations to the SMART Center, recipient of the 2024 School Social Work Advocate of the Year award from the Washington Association of School Social Workers (WASSW)! Their work represents a turning point in school social work in Washington state where dedication to the social work profession and collaboration to better support youth, have aligned to create lasting systemic change.
