The Autism and Developmental Disabilities Track of the UW School of Medicine’s Psychology Internship Program was established in 2020. After expanding from one to two residents annually in 2022, we have welcomed and trained eight psychology residents since our launch and we are delighted to welcome the first resident from our track, Daina Tagavi, PhD, to become faculty in our department!

The UW Housestaff Quality and Safety Committee (HSQC) has selected our very own PGY2s, Rob Chen, MD, PhD, and John Eun, MD, PhD, as members of their inaugural Ambassador's Program. They'll join other ambassadors in monthly meetings to help advance quality improvement (QI) work in the department, represent our education program, and interact with hospital leaders.

The Handbook of Evidence-Based Inpatient Mental Health Programs for Children and Adolescents is officially in print! Co-edited by Alysha Thompson, PhD and Shannon Simmons, MD, MPH, this multi-year effort reviews multiple aspects of inpatient psychiatric hospital (IPH) and acute mental health services for youth.
