Endowed faculty positions such as professorships and chairs provide unique opportunities, precious time and resources to help our faculty make advances in patient care, education, and research. They also confer prestige to the holder, to our department, and to UW Medicine, and they are an important tool to attract and retain outstanding faculty. We are now happy to begin recruiting for two new endowed positions supported by generous philanthropic support, one with a focus on addiction psychiatry and another with a focus on adult cognitive aging.

They will provide leadership and mentorship for department faculty, staff, and trainees with an interest in Geriatric Psychiatry and cognitive aging, facilitate productive connections and collaborations with other clinicians and scientists at UW and beyond, and work closely with PBSCI leadership on strategic initiatives related to the department’s work in cognitive aging and Geriatric Psychiatry. This endowed position is supported by a generous gift from K. Warner Schaie PhD and Sherry Willis PhD. Apply here
