We are pleased to report that the Washington State Legislature has included money in its supplemental budget to trial a one year pilot of expanded Partnership Access Line (PAL) services in a rural inclusive area of the state. In this pilot, local mental health therapists will be tasked with providing integrated care supports for depression and anxiety disorders cared for by pediatric primary care providers, who in turn will be backed up by psychiatrists and psychologists at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The program will utilize the AIMS Center’s care management tracking software, and will use existing infrastructure of the PAL program which includes telemedicine capabilities. We hope this will be a great way for us to work with the Washington State Health Care Authority to further promote models of collaborative/integrated care in our state.
