New Psychiatry Residency Montana Track at Billings Clinic

Department news | April 30, 2018

We are excited to announce that our department and the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana are partnering to develop a new Psychiatry Residency Montana Track. This residency track will be similar to our existing Idaho Track, with residents completing the first two years of training in Seattle and the last two years in Montana. The goals of this track will be to train psychiatry residents as healthcare leaders, consultants to non-psychiatrist colleagues, and to care for vulnerable and underserved populations in Montana. The Billings Clinic is a nationally-recognized, multidisciplinary clinic serving patients from Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. Residents will be able to take advantage of state-of-the-art clinical opportunities, including telepsychiatry and Project ECHO, an innovative psychiatric stabilization unit, collaborative care services, and frontier psychiatry. We plan to recruit three residents per year for this track beginning this coming year, to start in the summer of 2019.
