We are soliciting interest from early career and established research faculty to join our soon to be established Department Research Council. The goal of the council will be to provide a dedicated forum to address challenges and opportunities related to the research mission of the department. In this unprecedented time for research at the university, the council will promote research-related topics for discussion, function as a forum for individuals working in research on common practices, and identify and solve challenges related to facilitating research at the university and specifically within our department. The council will report to the department chair and we are asking members to serve for three years. The frequency of meetings and specific activities will be determined by the workgroup at our first meeting later this spring or early this summer.
