2026 Jeremy Clark Fellowship

Department News | June 29, 2026

To honor the memory and contributions of our colleague and friend, Jeremy Clark, PhD, each summer we award research fellowships to UW undergraduate students to work on a ten-week research project in the lab of a Division of Psychiatric Neurosciences faculty member. We select projects that resonate with Dr. Clark’s passion for research on addiction, development, and behavior. This year, the awardees are Chao-Yu Lin (Kevin Coffey’s lab, A high-resolution and scalable method for quantifying opioid withdrawal behaviors), Kyle Schroeder (Larry Zweifel and Marta Soden’s labs, Behavioral effects of CRISPR knockout of Neurotensin Receptor 1), and Kyla Jones (Brian Kraemer’s lab, MSUT2 regulation of Tau pathogenesis). In addition to lab work, students will also be attending weekly career development sessions in the Center of Excellence in Neurobiology of Addiction, Pain, and Emotion (NAPE Center). The Jeremy Clark Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship in Neuroscience supports this program. Congratulations to the fellows!
