The Pacific West Hub is part of the SAMHSA-funded Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS) and provides support for organizations and systems in HHS Regions 9 and 10 on how to implement effective practices to deliver the best mental health care.

Main Challenge
People seeking mental health care, especially those in underserved communities, can have difficulty accessing care or receiving the most effective treatments. Organizations that adopt new practices with the goal of improving care often encounter barriers that complicate successful implementation, or make it seem like the practice simply “doesn’t work.”

Our Approach
CMHIS and our Hubs help improve the delivery of mental health care by supporting organizations in preparing, implementing, and sustaining effective programs and services, while also addressing obstacles. We provide tangible and practical mental health implementation support through resource dissemination and intensive strategies such as consultation, learning collaboratives, and coaching/facilitation.
