Personal Statement
I am a physician at the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic at UWMC-Roosevelt and a UW instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
My patient care philosophy is informed by my background and interest in population health and health care systems. I understand that experiencing a mental illness, especially a chronic mental illness, can be challenging and overwhelming enough on its own—but navigating the health care system can add an extra layer of difficulty. In meeting with patients, I hope to keep this constantly in mind, to meet patients where they are and look for opportunities to connect them to effective resources and treatments.
