2025 Jeremy Clark Fellowship recipients

Department News | June 23, 2025

To honor the memory and contributions of our colleague and friend, Jeremy Clark, PhD, each summer we award research fellowships to UW undergraduate students to work on a ten-week research project in the lab of a Division of Psychiatric Neurosciences faculty member. We select projects that resonate with Dr. Clark’s passion for research on addiction, development and behavior. This year, the awardees are Alison Coyne (John Neumaier’s lab, Toll-Like Receptors in Opioid Withdrawal), Joshua Fox (Susan Ferguson’s lab, Effect of Combined Methamphetamine and Fentanyl on Gene Expression in Prefrontal Cortex), Delaney Hurlimann (John Neumaier’s lab, Inflammasome Activation in Microglia During Opioid withdrawal) and Nate Xu (Marco Pravetoni’s lab, Computational Design and analysis of Drug-Targeting Antibodies). In addition to lab work, students will also be attending weekly career development sessions in the Center of Excellence in Neurobiology of Addiction, Pain, and Emotion (NAPE Center). The Jeremy Clark Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship in Neuroscience supports this program. Congratulations to the fellows!
