For 56 years, the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMA&D) has lived its mission of advancing access, equity and improving the educational experience for all UW – a campus that sits on tribal land. In addition to supporting academic excellence, OMA&D plays a vital role in broadening college access for over 25,000 students across 86 school districts, 179 schools, and 19 two-year colleges throughout Washington State. Committed to academic excellence, OMA&D supports the success of more than 6,500 UW undergraduates and annually awards over $600,000 in scholarships. It also prepares approximately 450 students each year for graduate and professional studies, cultivating the next generation of leaders and mentors. In addition, OMA&D actively engages with alumni and diverse communities to strengthen its impact and outreach. To learn more about OMA&D programs, visit their page.
