Change in UPOC Associate Program Director for Psychiatry Residency

Department news | May 31, 2019

As of July 1, 2019, Rebecca Engelberg, MD, will be stepping down as the Psychiatry Residency’s Associate Program Director (APD) for the UWMC Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic (OPC) site. Rebecca has done an exceptional job in this role over the past 5 years. She is leaving to focus on private practice, but very fortunately for us plans to continue as a clinical supervisor for residents.

We are delighted to announce that Laurel Pellegrino, MD, will be our new OPC APD, effective July 1, 2019. Laurel is a graduate of our residency program, was OPC Chief Resident, and since joining our faculty has been heavily involved in teaching supportive psychotherapy and in supervising residents at the clinic. Over the past year, she has also taken on a significant role in recruitment for our new Montana Track and in rotation scheduling for the residency program.

We hope that you will join us in thanking Rebecca for her outstanding work in this role, and in welcoming Laurel!
