Amy Dao, our Associate Director of Finance for the last four years, has accepted a position as Sponsored Programs and Fiscal Administrator for the newly established Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences located in downtown Seattle. This is a great opportunity for Amy as she will be establishing the Office of Sponsored Programs and Grant and Contract Accounting at the independent, non-profit research institute. Amy has been with the University of Washington for 30 years. She has done tremendous work for our department and will be greatly missed. Under the leadership of Ali Iqbal, our new Director of Finance and Administration, we will be starting the recruitment process for a new Associate Director of Finance and hope to have him or her onboard soon.
