The primary goal of this highly competitive fellowship program is to prepare MDs and Clinical Psychologists for successful careers as research investigators. The mission focus of the Northwest MIRECC is “the invisible wounds of war:” posttraumatic stress disorder and blast-induced mild traumatic brain injury and their complex comorbidities including substance use disorders, chronic pain, and neurodegeneration and dementia.
