Joseph Cerimele, MD

Personal Statement

My current clinical work includes consulting to a primary care clinic utilizing a collaborative care model, and attending on the inpatient psychiatry unit and the inpatient psychiatry consultation service at UWMC.  My primary interests include improving recognition and quality of care of patients with psychiatric illnesses seen in primary care clinics. My current research in primary care focuses on the care of individuals with bipolar disorder.  I am also interested in promoting smoking cessation through tobacco use treatment in individuals with psychiatric illnesses.
